Zombie Bike Workshop

Get Ready for Halloween and Zombie Bike Ride with Creative Workshops at Fort East Martello Museum
Kids aged 5-17 looking to explore Halloween gore with some theatrical make-up tips can enjoy a special workshop at Fort East Martello Museum presented by Key West Art & Historical Society from 9:00am-4:00pm on Monday, October 14.
Wannabe zombies will learn the tricks of using latex and household products to transform the living into the undead during a hands-on "Scars and Scabs, Wounds and Gore" workshop. Artist and teacher Crystal Smith, who has honed her skills working with the Sci-Fi Channel’s “Skin Wars” and “Face Off” crews, will offer step-by-step instructions on everything participants need to know about how to make life-like wounds, scabs, and scars, with small kits included to take home.  The cost for “Scars and Scabs, Wounds and Gore” is $40 for Society members and $45 for non-members and includes all supplies. For more information contact Education Specialist Kassandra Collett at 305-295-6616 ext. 114 or email at kcollett@kwahs.org.  Sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Division of Cultural Affairs and Society benefactor Lee Garrison; register now for this limited space workshop at KWAHS.ORG, click “Tickets”. Your museums.  Your community.  It takes an island.  (Photo by Crystal Smith)
