In partnership with the Michael Dively Social Justice and Diversity Endowment at the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys, the Tropic continues our 2019 “4 Nights 4 Justice” series with the compelling climate change documentary “The 11th Hour.” In addition to the screening, we’re thrilled to be hosting a champagne reception and post-film discussion with representatives from NOAA.
“The 11th Hour” is the last moment when change is possible. This film, presented by Leonardo DiCaprio, explores how we’ve arrived at this moment—how we live, how we impact the earth’s ecosystems, and what we can do to change our course. “The 11th Hour” features ongoing dialogues of experts from all over the world, including former Soviet Prime Minister Mikhail Gorbachev, renowned scientist Stephen Hawking, former CIA chief R. James Woolsey and sustainable design experts William McDonough and Bruce Mau—in addition to over 50 leading scientists, thinkers and leaders who discuss the most important issues that face our planet and people.
Champagne Reception: 5:30 p.m.
