Old Town Literary Walking Tour
Join us every Friday and Sunday for the Old Town Literary Walking Tour, a stroll through downtown Key West, illuminating stories of writers that have called our island home. Inspired by David A. Kaufelt’s original literary walking tour, our new tour features the former homes and favorite haunts of writers, including Tennessee Williams, Shel Silverstein, Elizabeth Bishop, and Robert Frost, and highlights tales of our lesser-known local talent.
Tours commence in front of the Monroe County Public Library, 700 Fleming Street (between Elizabeth and William Streets) in Key West and last approximately 90 minutes. Please be on time and wear comfortable shoes.
Additional Covid-19 Protocols: For your protection and ours, walking tours will be limited to 6 participants at a time until further notice. Tour guides and participants alike must wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth throughout the duration of the tour. Tours may be ended at any time, at the tour guide’s discretion, for noncompliance with our mask policy.
Cost: $30 per person (Discounted rates available for current teachers, librarians, and students with valid ID.)
Click the calendar on right for available dates and times and to book online. Just 6 availabilities per tour.
