After a few years away from the island, former Key West resident artist Lisa Grubb will make her triumphant return to the Key West gallery scene this month. For the month of January, SALT Gallery (830 Fleming St.) will feature a new collection of Grubb’s vivid paintings. To celebrate Grubb’s return to Key West on the heels of a successful career in New York, SALT will be hosting an opening reception at the gallery from 5 -7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2.
“We are so delighted to have the effervescent Lisa Grubb back in Key West and especially at SALT,” says gallery owner Laura Richardson. “Her paintings are colorful, fun and alive. You can’t help but smile when you look at her work, and that’s exactly how we want to kick off the new year — with joy and brightness. We can’t wait to share that joy with the rest of Key West.”
SALT Gallery features an eclectic collection of local art, local sea salts, jewelry, pottery, wine and Florida Keys honey. Gallery owners Maria Sharpe and Laura Richardson feature a new artist each month at SALT. Grubb’s work will remain on display until Jan. 31.
