College of the Florida Keys will open its 2023 VIP Series with the Truth about Iguanas in the Florida Keys.” e presentation, led by local veterinarian and author Dr. Doug Mader, will be on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the Key West campus.
In his presentation, Dr. Mader will discuss the history and impact of iguanas in the Florida Keys and offer advice to help people with iguana control and disease prevention. Dr. Mader has written medical textbooks and numerous scientific publications. His latest work is “Vet at Noah’s Ark — Stories of Survival from an Inner-City Animal Hospital.”
