City Welcomes Holidays

The holiday season in Key West kicks off on Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 5 p.m. with the Lighting of the Harbor Walk of Lights at the Historic Seaport.
The first Monday after Thanksgiving — Monday, Nov. 29, — the city will hold the tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. at Bayview Park. Always a family favorite, this ceremony will feature the Horace O’Bryant School Jazz Band, and culminate with the arrival of Santa. At 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, Rabbis Shimon Dudai and Jacob Zucker will perform the Lighting of the Menorah at Bayview Park.
Finally, the Holiday Parade will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. The parade begins at the corner of Truman Avenue and White Street, proceeds to Duval Street, then to Eaton Street.

    Reading this made me think that I always thought the Holidays had something to do with Christmas. Oh well……
