Census Volunteers

January 28

The Monroe County Homeless Services Continuum-of-Care is performing the annual point in time census on Tuesday, 1/28/2020, and we are looking for volunteers. This count is critical to helping us continue to get the resources we need as we fight homelessness.

On this day we go out in teams to areas where we know the homeless to congregate, ask them a few short survey questions, and give them a bag containing items like toiletries, water and food. Typically each zone can be done in a couple of hours, but volunteers can spend as much time as they like.

If you can’t help with the census, but would like to donate items to the bags or help us fill the bags, we will be doing that Saturday, 1/25/2020 at 2:00 PM at the
Poinciana Royale multipurpose room
1341 McCarthy Ave. (Please park on Duck Ave.)
