TELLY LEUNG in conversation with STEPHEN KITSAKOS
TELLY LEUNG is a New York City native, Broadway performer, recording artist, producer & theatre arts teacher. Broadway & National touring include Aladdin in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway, starring roles in In Transit, Allegiance w. George Takei & Lea Salonga, Godspell, Pacific Overtures, Flower Drum Song and the final Broadway company of Rent. He portrayed Boq in the original Chicago company of Wicked. In 2010 he starred as Angel in Rent at the Hollywood Bowl opposite Wayne Brady, directed by Neal Patrick Harris. TV audiences will recognize him as Wes the Warbler from the Fox series Glee as well as appearances on Instinct, Odd Mom Out, Deadbeat and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He is featured as a coach for the Jimmy Awards in the PBS documentary, “Broadway or Bust” and can be heard on many original Broadway cast recordings as well as two solo albums – I’ll Cover You (2012) and Songs for You (2016). He holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama. He recently produced and starred in The Nice List, a virtual holiday musical for the whole family.
