There are just days left for artists to submit their applications for the Anne McKee Artists Fund’s 2023 Fine Art Auction. Complete submission must be received before midnight on November 18th.
“We strongly encourage artists to submit early instead of at the last minute,” said Board Chair Marsha Williams. “If anything is missing or you have questions, you could miss the deadline and we cannot reopen the submission process.”
The auction itself will be held on March 12, 2023 at The Studios of Key West, 533 Eaton St, Key West, Florida.
Online applications and accompanying photos can be submitted from our website at www.mckeefund.org. Artists will be notified of acceptance no later than December 15th. Accepted Artists will be notified about Art drop off date at the Studios.
Only 50 entries will be accepted due to space and time limitations. The Anne McKee Artists Fund of the Florida Keys, Inc., in its sole discretion, determines whether art submitted will be accepted for auction.
Each participating artist receives 50 percent of the proceeds from the sale of his or her work, while the McKee Fund receives the remainder to award to other Keys artists for select projects.  Founded by longtime Key West resident Anne McKee, the not-for-profit fund has awarded close to $400,000 since its inception in 1994.

Stream “The Mon Valley Medium” this November, a darkly comedic tale that takes place when a murder sends a working-class community into chaos. Written, directed and performed by Pittsburgh native Alec Silberblatt, the story centers on Mack, a local man, who relays the story as he struggles with the guilt he feels about his role in it all.

Holiday Helpers is a massive, Keys-wide toy drive that benefits six nonprofits with a goal of 2,500 new toys by Dec. 1.
The toy drive is organized by Wesley House Family Services so that each agency is not doing its own individual toy drive, and to make it easier for the public. For 2022, the toys will be shared with Wesley House, Early Learning Coalition, SOS Foundation, Kids Come First, Guidance Care Center, and Samuel’s House.
Every toy adds up. Visit http://www.wesleyhouse.org/HolidayHelpers to shop the Amazon list, or leave a toy in one of the collection boxes at 40 locations throughout the Keys.
